As I was driving into work this morning, in some areas, the fog in the valley was so thick that you could barely see a few feet in front of you. At one point, I just turned off the radio, slowed down and began to pray my way. As I began to crest the hill, the fog broke and the sun, with all of it's brilliance, shown to display God's Autumn splendor.
At that very moment, I realized that the busyness of life and our day-to-day routines are often like that dense fog that I had encountered this morning. In order for us to reach the crest of the mountain and see God's splendor in our daily lives, we need to be in constant communication (throughout the day) with our Heavenly Father. Communication that helps us to successfully navigate through the day when the busyness and uncertainty "fogs" our view. When that occurrs, we will always be able to see God's faithfulness at the end of the day--similar to the brilliant sun that had appeared as I reached the top of the mountain.
Lord, thank you for your protection and guidance this morning. More importantly, thank you for my "life lesson!" May you find me faithful as I encounter each day and I pray that I would make it a habit to be in constant communication with you so that I can successfully navigate through my days.
In Jesus Name.
